Dr. Sunil Kumar S is an Interventional Cardiologist with about a decade of experience in medical practice. Since November 2013, he has been working as Associate Professor and Senior Interventional Cardiologist at JSS Medical College & Hospitals in Mysore. He also can be consulted privately, at Wellness Superspeciality Centre, which is located in the Yadavagiri area of the city.   

Previously Dr. Sunil Kumar was Consultant Cardiologist at Apollo BGS Hospitals in Mysore, for eight years (commencing August 2004), with a gap of a year in 2006-07 when he worked as Consultant Cardiologist at Vydehi Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Vydehi Hospitals), Whitefield, Bangalore.

Dr. Sunil Kumar's main area of interest is Primary Angioplasty. He has independently performed more than 6,000 catheterisation procedures, both diagnostic and therapeutic. These include Coronary Angiograms, Coronary Angioplasty, Peripheral Angiograms, Peripheral Angioplasty, PDA & ASD Device closures, Permanent Pacemaker implantation, Paediatric cath studies, etc. 

Dr. Sunil Kumar received his initial medical degrees (MBBS and MD) from Mysore University. He is an alumnus of TN Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai, from where he obtained the DM (Cardiology) superspeciality degree, standing second in the University of Mumbai for 2004.

Dr. Sunil Kumar is an active member of the Mysore units of the Association of Physicians of India and the Cardiological Society of India. He attends many conferences related to his field of specialisation, in India and internationally. He has also delivered a large number of guest lectures in the region.
